IBC Bank's Harold Shockley, Jr. Honored at Annual Cattle Baron's Ball

Corpus Christi, Texas – The American Cancer Society selected IBC Bank-Corpus Christi President & CEO Harold Shockley, Jr. to serve as Honoree of the Gentlemen’s Committee at the 28th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball on Saturday, March 29. This annual recognition was awarded to Shockley, a Melanoma survivor, for his philanthropic dedication and commitment to the American Cancer Society.

Shockley’s inspiration and drive to give back to the American Cancer Society stems from his personal strength and relationship with cancer. Just as the organization supported Shockley throughout his recovery, IBC Bank-Corpus Christi is a proud partner of the American Cancer Society. Each year, IBC Bank employees donate time and money in support of the cause.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that provides hope to the more than 1.4 million people who will be diagnosed with cancer this year,” Shockley said. “The American Cancer Society is a cause I feel strongly about and I am incredibly honored and thankful for the recognition at this year’s Cattle Baron’s Ball.”

Shockley is an established leader in the Texas banking industry with more than 30 years of experience. As president and CEO of IBC Bank-Corpus Christi, Shockley oversees and directs the bank’s activities throughout the entire region, which includes locations in Aransas Pass, Portland, Rockport, and Sinton.

In keeping with IBC Bank’s philosophy of “We Do More,” Shockley, a Corpus Christi native and long-time resident, generously dedicates his time and efforts to numerous community organizations in the Coastal Bend. In addition to his support of the American Cancer Society, he has served as a member and past president of the Sunrise Rotary Club, board member of the March of Dimes, board member of the Miracle League of Corpus Christi and as a member of the fundraising committees for the Driscoll Foundation and YWCA.

The 28th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball took place at RMB Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, TX March 29 at 7:00 p.m. This year’s theme was “Boots & Blossoms” and included dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions, and entertainment.
