IBC Bank-Corpus Christi employees take a break from decorating their Buc Days IBC Bank Junior Parade float to pose for a group photo.
IBC Bank-Corpus Christi hosted its 15th annual Buc Days IBC Bank Junior Parade on Saturday, April 27 outside its branch on Shoreline Boulevard. More than 20,000 spectators joined to watch the pirate-themed parade as children from local daycare centers, youth groups, schools, civic, and public and private organizations marched along route. Awards were presented for a variety of categories, including marching units, dance, cheer and color guard units. The parade is an opportunity for children to experience and participate in a large public festival and interact with the community.
Buc Days began in 1983 under the direction of the non-profit Buccaneer Commission, to support the bringing of entertaining, educational and cultural events to the Coastal Bend region. Held on the Corpus Christi Bay, proceeds from Buc Days provide college scholarships annually to area youth.
