IBC Bank-McAllen Commemorates Teller Appreciation Week

(Oct. 29, 2012) McALLEN, Texas – IBC Bank–McAllen honored its hard working tellers by observing “Teller Appreciation Week” Oct. 21-27. To commemorate the week-long celebration, the Honorable Richard Cortez, Mayor of McAllen, read a proclamation during the city’s Oct. 22 commissioner meeting and thanked IBC tellers in attendance for their contributions to the McAllen community.
“Our tellers play an important role in helping to ‘Do More’ for our customers and the communities we serve,” IBC Bank–McAllen President & CEO David Guerra said. “We are proud to recognize them for their hard work and are thankful to Mayor Cortez and the City of McAllen for helping us commemorate this important week.”
As part of the week-long celebration, the bank hosted a private dinner honoring all IBC McAllen tellers at its main branch on Oct. 23 and also held events at all its branches to celebrate with customers and the community at large. IBC Bank has been celebrating Teller Appreciation Week in McAllen for the past 16 years.
