(July 18, 2013) GUTHRIE, OK. – IBC Bank-Oklahoma, the City of Guthrie, Guthrie Chamber of Commerce, and Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) commemorated the grand opening of the rebuilt IBC Bank branch in Guthrie on Tuesday, July 2. IBC Bank employees, members of the Guthrie community, and government leaders gathered to witness the presentation by IBC Bank and city officials and received an exclusive tour of the new 4,500 square foot facility.
The new Guthrie branch preserves notable elements of the original facility and honors the rich history of the City of Guthrie by incorporating historic features such as the iconic red brick found throughout the city and other historic pieces from the original bank dating back to 1906. Visitors and customers will be able to view these historic items during bank business hours.
“Our investment in the Guthrie branch tangibly demonstrates IBC Bank’s deep commitment to ‘Do More’ for our customers and better serve the community,” said IBC Bank-Tulsa President Bill Schonacher said. “The Guthrie branch will allow us to continue providing superior service in a state-of-the-art facility that maximizes convenience, while highlighting and honoring the city’s history.”
In addition to offering IBC’s full range of deposit and loan products for retail and business customers, IBC’s new Guthrie branch will feature a spacious conference room that will be open to the community at large; three motor bank drive-through lanes for fast, convenient banking; and a drive-up ATM machine.
“The rebuilding of this branch brings a fresh and positive outlook to the community and reinforces IBC’s commitment to the city of Guthrie,” Spradlin said. “Our citizens take pride in the new branch and appreciate the thoughtful historical touches the bank incorporated to honor our city.”
