IBC Bank Officer Chosen for Legacy Community Health Services’ Board
Victor Cordova, assistant vice president at IBC Bank-Houston, selected for Legacy Health Services' Board of Directors
(October 4, 2012) HOUSTON – IBC Bank-Houston’s Victor Cordova will serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Legacy Community Health Services, a non-profit full service health center
With more than 26 years in banking and nine years at IBC Bank-Houston, Cordova, assistant vice president at IBC Bank-Houston, brings a wealth of business and non-profit experience to his appointment. Previously, he served as president of the Greater Houston GLBT Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, the vice president of programs on the Museum District Business Alliance of Houston’s Board of Directors and as president of IBC Bank-Houston’s Employee Advisory Board
“Legacy helps a huge population of Houstonians who simply cannot afford the high cost of healthcare,” said Cordova. “My position as training department manager at IBC Bank gives me the freedom to think ‘outside-the-box’ and I plan to use that same creative thinking to help Legacy expand throughout the area.”
As the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Houston, Legacy operates five clinics that provide comprehensive, primary healthcare services for all Houstonians serving nearly 50,000 men, women and children annually and has recently announced expansion plans to Baytown and Beaumont.
“Victor is passionate about his community involvement and always looking to do more,” said Jay Rogers, chairman and CEO of IBC Bank–Houston. “He will make a great addition to Legacy’s board helping the communities that we serve live better.”
“We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Victor to our board,” said Katy Caldwell, executive director of Legacy Community Health Services. “We are so excited for the depth of knowledge and experience that he will bring to our organization. Legacy is growing at a rapid pace right now and it is people like Victor that will help us continue to do so successfully.”
