IBC Bank Shares Cheer With Tulsa Family

Bank employees donate gifts to deserving family through “It’s a Brighter Christmas” program

TULSA, Okla. – January 9, 2014 - IBC Bank brought the spirit of the season to the Tulsa community through its employee-driven “It’s a Brighter Christmas” program. This holiday season, bank employees raised funds to adopt a family through Tulsa’s Family and Children’s Services’ Holiday Assistance program. The generous employee donations, which were matched by the bank, helped bring a brighter Christmas to the local family of five.

An extension of the bank’s “We Do More” philosophy, the company began this corporate-wide initiative in 1995 as a way to help deserving families and children enjoy the holidays. Though the bank’s Employee Advisory Board champions the program, every employee is encouraged to become involved in his or her own way.

“Although IBC Bank-Oklahoma is committed to serving the community year round, the holidays provide a special opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those most in need this time of the year,” IBC Bank-Tulsa President Bill Schonacher said. “Family and Children’s Services is a great organization, providing children and families support and hope. IBC Bank is proud to support the organization’s continued work in the greater Tulsa community.”

Beyond It’s a Brighter Christmas, IBC Oklahoma tailors its community outreach year round to meet the most pressing needs of the local area through its Employee Advisory Board (EAB). This unique organization, which exists in every IBC Bank market throughout Oklahoma and Texas, encourages the bank’s more than 3,000 employees and officers to engage in community service and civic involvement to better the communities the bank serves.
