Overdraft Courtesy®

The Bank offers a discretionary overdraft service (the "Overdraft Courtesy®  Program") for consumer accounts that (i) are held by Depositors who are United States citizens or Resident Aliens ("Domestic Consumer Accounts"); (ii) have been open for at least thirty (30) days; and (iii) are in good standing.  A Domestic Consumer Account is an account primarily used for personal and household purposes.

An overdraft occurs when you do NOT have enough available funds in your checking account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. IBC can cover your overdrafts in two different ways:

1. You are automatically enrolled in Overdraft Courtesy for all transactions other than ATM or everyday (non-recurring) debit card transactions. See the Deposit Account Agreement for additional details regarding the Overdraft Courtesy on your account.  You may also ask to enroll in Overdraft Courtesy for ATM and everyday (non-recurring) debit card transactions.

2. We also offer Overdraft Transfer Protection, which is a less expensive way to cover inadvertent or occasional overdrafts.  Overdraft Transfer Protection can link a secondary account to the customer's checking account, and if items post against insufficient funds on the checking account, the necessary funds are automatically transferred from the secondary account (if such funds are available) for $12.00 per daily transfer.  If the secondary account is a savings account, however, federal regulation limits the automatic transfers to six per month.
