The Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) recognized Anness Jensen, 1st Vice President and Retail Division Manager for IBC Bank - Houston, as a 2017 Breakthrough Woman. Anness was celebrated as a trailblazer in her industry for demonstrating amazing courage and leadership in reaching her career goals. Anness was born and raised on a small island in the Caribbean and moved to Houston in the 1990s to pursue the American dream. Upon arriving to Houston, she worked seven days a week and saved up money to support herself without the help of her family. In 1997, she landed a job at IBC Bank-Houston and through hard work has steadily been promoted in her field. Her efforts were recognized by the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce in April.
