Commerce Bank Promotes Bank Officers

 (JAN. 21, 2020) LAREDO, Texas - Today, Commerce Bank announced the promotions of Jonathan Gonzalez and Tirso Morales to bank officer.

 

"Jonathan and Tirso are vital members of the Commerce Bank team," said Commerce Bank President & CEO Ignacio Urrabazo. "Their leadership and dedication to our "Make it Happen" philosophy is inspiring and serves as a wonderful example to their colleagues. These promotions are well deserved and we look forward to their continued leadership."

 

Gonzalez joined Commerce Bank in 2016 and as bank officer will oversee the branch operations with a focus on customer retention and deposit growth. Gonzalez received his Associate of Applied Science in criminal justice from Laredo College. He is a passionate community advocate and currently serves as a board member with the Laredo Crime Stoppers. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family and friends. 

 

Morales joined Commerce Bank in 2012. As a bank officer, he will service loan and deposit portfolios, and will work alongside senior lenders to support loan activities. Morales received his Bachelor of Business Administration in international economics from Texas A&M International University and his Master of Business Administration in strategic management at the University of North Texas. In his spare time he enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with his wife and kids.
