IBC Bank - Eagle Pass Promotions Announced

Eagle Pass, Texas (June 16, 2021) - IBC Bank-Eagle Pass recently announced the promotions of three key bank associates in various departments within the financial institution.  The local promotions are part of a corporate -wide recognition of personnel elevated within their areas of expertise.

"These employees live our Do More mantra and are proven experts within their respective lines of business," said IBC Bank President Hector J. Cerna. "Their knowledge of internal functions and customer service as well as their dedication to going beyond banking makes their promotions well- deserved."

Rosalba Duran has been promoted to Bank Officer in the Retail Division. She obtained her A.A.S. in Management from Southwest Texas Junior College. She has 24 years of banking experience and 15 of those have been at IBC Bank. One of her favorite past times is working with community non-profit organizations as a member of the Employee Advisory Board. 

Silvia Montemayor Cobo was promoted to Vice President in the International Department.  She has been in banking for 29 years and at IBC Bank since May of 2002. She enjoys doing community work with the Eagle Pass Library Foundation and as a member of the Eagle Pass Main Street Project. 

Jose Baldemar Palafox has been promoted to Vice President in the Commercial Lending Department. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has been with IBC Bank for 15 years within the Commercial Lending Division. In his spare time, he enjoys working with the Rotary Club of Del Rio, serving on the board of the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce and the board of the Del Rio Board of Realtors. He also Coaches the Eagles softball team of Liberty Elementary School and the little league softball team.
