IBC Bank - Laredo Promotions Announced
LAREDO, Texas (May 25, 2021) - IBC Bank-Laredo recently announced the promotions of thirteen key employees in various departments within the financial institution. The local promotions are part of a corporate wide recognition of personnel elevated within their areas of expertise.
"These are seasoned banking employees who have been involved in many facets of the financial business," said IBC Bank CEO and Chairman, Dennis E. Nixon. "Their knowledge of our customer and internal functions as well as their professionalism and dedication are commendable, and their promotions are well deserved."
Gabriela V. Carriedo was promoted to First Vice President of Corporate Marketing. She obtained a Bachelors in Communication Sciences from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and also attended the ABA School of Bank Marketing. She has been with IBC Bank for 15 years. Gaby served as President of the board of the Children's Advocacy Center in Laredo and serves on the Fundraising Committee of Casa de Misericordia.
Gabriela De la Garza was promoted to Senior Vice President of Laredo and Commerce Bank Teller Operations. She earned her degree in Accounting from the Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas. She has been with IBC Bank for 21 years.
Vanessa Yvonne Frausto has been promoted to Bank Officer. She has served in various capacities, including sales associate, International Senior Sales Supervisor, Treasury Management Sales Specialist and most recently, Treasury Management Supervisor. Vanessa has a BA in Business with a concentration in Management from Texas A&M International University. Vanessa is a board member of United Way of Laredo and a member of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Bienvenidos Committee. She is the mother of two, Noah Jacob and Gia Rose Garcia.
Moises Garza Castillo was promoted to Officer in the Foreign Operations Department. He attended Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City earning a Legal Studies Degree and obtained a Masters Degree in European Union and International Law from Universidad Complutense-Madrid. Moises has been at IBC Bank for 10 years.
Maria Eugenia Larios is promoted from Vice President to 1st Vice President in Corporate Branch Administration. She has been with IBC Bank for 19 years and proudly serves her community on the board of the Mexican Cultural Institute of Laredo, Inc. She has been treasurer of the board for two years.
Jessica Orbe Mendiola was promoted from 1st Vice President to Senior Vice President in the Financial Intelligence Unit. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M International University and has been certified as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). She is currently serving as President of the board for Casa Misericordia. She has been with IBC Bank for 15 years.
Angelica Padron was promoted to Senior Vice President in Corporate Human Resources. She attended J. W. Nixon High School and Laredo College. She has been with IBC Bank for 22 years. She enjoys mentoring future leaders as a board member of the Laredo Youth Leadership council.
David Ramos was promoted to Vice President in Internal Audit Services. He earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from Texas A&M International University. He has been with IBC Bank for 19 years. He enjoys doing community work with Habitat for Humanity serving as President-elect, WBCA board director and Kiwanis Club of Laredo member.
Cynthia Lucia Rodriguez is promoted from 1st Vice President to Senior Vice President in Corporate Recruiting and Corporate Training. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Texas A & M International University and has been with IBC Bank for 21 years.
Perla M. Ruiz was promoted to First Vice President in Human Resources. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M International University. She has been with IBC Bank for 25 years and enjoys serving on the board of Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas.
Marisa V. Santos was promoted to Senior Vice President in the Executive Offices. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Multidisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M International University. She has been with IBC Bank for over 35 years. Her community involvement includes serving as Third Vice President on the Boys & Girls Club board and Vice President of Admissions and Allocation of the United Way board.
Dulce Maria Solano is promoted to Assistant Vice President in the Commercial Credit Department. She earned a BBA in Business Administration and an MBA in International Banking from Texas A & M International University. She has been with IBC Bank for 14 years. She is also an active member of the Laredo Noon Optimist Club currently serving as Sgt at Arms and serves as Director and Treasurer of Laredo Main Street.
Claudia Zarate has been promoted from Payroll Supervisor to Bank Officer in the Corporate Human Resource Department. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M International University and has been with IBC Bank for 16 years.
