IBC Bank Senior Vice President Eddie Aldrete Receives 2020 Distinguished Community Service Award

(MARCH 5, 2020) SAN ANTONIO - Last night, IBC Bank Senior Vice President Eddie Aldrete and his wife, Cristina, president & CEO of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, received the 2020 Distinguished Community Service Award from the Chabad Center for Jewish Life and Learning at their annual L'Chaim Event.

"We are extremely honored to receive this award," said Eddie Aldrete. "At IBC Bank, we are proud of our mission to ‘Do More' for the communities we serve, and we truly value our relationship with the Chabad Center for Jewish Life. We look forward to supporting them with future initiatives."

The award recognized the Aldretes for their passionate advocacy for the State of Israel and the Jewish community of San Antonio. Eddie Aldrete has visited Israel and has shared his experiences with American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) audiences and other civic groups throughout Texas. Eddie also spearheaded IBC Bank's recent hosting of two Israeli ambassadors, Michael Oren and Ron Dermer, in San Antonio for VIP receptions with local dignitaries.

"I am proud of Eddie and Cristina and the work they do for San Antonio, particularly for our Jewish community," said IBC Bank Chairman and CEO Dennis Nixon. "They are deserving of this award, and I look forward to watching their advocacy continue."

Attendees at the L'Chaim Event were treated to entertainment from world-renowned tenor vocalist and cantor, Shulem Lemmer.

In 2016, Nixon and his wife, Bavi, received the award. The Nixon's involvement encouraged IBC Bank to financially support the Jewish community by making a significant investment in Israel Bonds and supporting AIPAC.
