LAREDO, Texas (November 26, 2018) – IBC Bank-Laredo recently announced the promotion of Assistant Vice Presidents Judi Cruz Garcia and Hilda Torres to Vice Presidents.

Torres joined IBC Bank in 1999 and was promoted to bank officer in 2008. Her responsibilities include managing the day-to-day schedule of IBC Bank Chairman and CEO Dennis E. Nixon, serving as assistant to IBC Bank’s holding company International Bancshares Corporation and supervising the sales associates who assist the bank’s commercial lenders. Torres began her career at IBC Bank as a secretary in commercial lending where she trained in commercial credit.

Garcia joined IBC Bank in 2017 and has worked in the banking industry for over 25 years. Her responsibilities include managing the team responsible for preparing and analyzing the monthly financial reports for the board of directors, reviewing reconciliations and reports prepared by the accounting staff, monitoring and assessing internal control structure and continually enhancing existing processes, and preparing regulatory reports filed with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve and Securities and Exchange Commission.

“Judi and Hilda are both vital members of the IBC Bank team,” said IBC Bank Chairman and CEO Dennis E. Nixon. “Their leadership and dedication to the bank’s philosophy of ‘We Do More’ is inspiring and they both serve as wonderful examples to their fellow colleagues. These promotions are well deserved.”
