Basketball Star and Bank Host Silent Auction Benefitting Cancer Research Initiatives

Oklahoma announced its partnership with basketball star, Victor Oladipo, at an exclusive event this Thursday, April 13, 2017 benefitting the Dunk Cancer Foundation. The event, An Evening with Victor Oladipo, held at Oklahoma City's 21c Museum Hotel, brought guests together for cocktails, a silent auction and officially kicked off the bank's and Oladipo's "Together We Do More" campaign. All proceeds of the auction were donated to the Dunk Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money to help fight cancer through basketball-focused events and fundraising campaigns. Over the next several months IBC Bank and Oladipo will join forces to help raise awareness for the bank's community giving and financial literacy programs that are held at schools and community organizations. "Our partnership with Victor is a natural one," said IBC Bank-Oklahoma CEO Bill Schonacher. "Both Victor and the bank are guided by the same principle of creating positive changes in our community through education and volunteerism. Olapido joined the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2016-2017 season and is already making a positive impact on the community through his philanthropic efforts. Since making his NBA debut in 2013, Oladipo has been awarded the 2015-2016 DeVos Community Enrichment Award and named as a finalist for the 2016 NBA Cares Community Assistant Award.
